The Portuguese Navy “docks” in the City of Aveiro for the annual celebrations of its day, marked by the arrival of Vasco da Gama in India, on May 20, 1498. 526 years after this feat, Aveiro was the city chosen to be the stage for a set of free activities that bring a bit of the Navy to the people of Aveiro and to everyone who wants to join these celebrations.
Media exhibitions, concerts, innovative activities, sports, baptisms of the sea and visits to the Sagres School Ship are some of the options that the Navy will bring to Aveiro and for which it counts on its presence.
